Global spiritual organization honors Lord Ganesha’s birthday with the installation of five-faced Heramba Ganesha on a Golden Mountain, invocation of 16 sacred forms, and two newly commissioned Yuga Ganesha
CHENNAI, India — September 2026: AstroVed, the global Vedic spiritual and astrology organization founded under the guidance of Dr. Pillai, has concluded a landmark four-day Ganesha Chaturthi celebration (September 13–16, 2026) marked by one of its most elaborate observances to date: the ceremonial consecration and offering of 3,000 sacred clay Ganesha idols, alongside the grand installation of the five-faced Heramba Ganesha atop a traditional Golden Mountain (Swarna Parvata).
The celebration, held at AstroVed’s Homa Centre and the Shreem Brzee Shrine, drew devotees from around the world who participated both in person and remotely through sacred prayer declarations (Sankalpam) that included their names, and birth stars in the rituals conducted by Vedic priests.
A Rare and Elaborate Installation
At the heart of this year’s celebration was the installation of Heramba Ganesha- revered as “The Protector of the Vulnerable”- in his five-faced, ten-armed form, seated upon a Golden Mountain traditionally built from coconuts and covered in sacred turmeric. The installation symbolized the union of royalty consciousness, wealth consciousness, and abundance consciousness, inviting devotees to seek courage, wisdom, protection, and prosperity as one integrated blessing.
Central to the four days of worship was the ceremonial offering of 3,000 hand-shaped clay Ganesha idols, ritually energized through Homas and Abishekams before being offered in accordance with Vedic tradition. Priests performed sacred sankalpams, invoking Ganesha’s blessings individually on behalf of every devotee who had enrolled for the ceremonies, ensuring that thousands of personal prayers for the removal of obstacles, financial stability, and auspicious new beginnings were carried through the ritual.
Four Days, Sixteen Divine Forms
Each day of the celebration was dedicated to a distinct set of the 16 sacred forms of Ganesha (Shodasha Ganesha), allowing devotees to seek blessings across every major area of life:
Day 1: Protection & Auspicious Beginnings: Adi, Bala, Maha, and Sevi Saitha Ganesha were invoked for protection, joy, harmony, and the removal of obstacles at the outset of new endeavors.
Day 2: Obstacle Removal & Relief: Vakratunda, Sankatahara, Runahara, and Guru Ganesha were worshipped for new opportunities, relief from problems, and freedom from financial and karmic debt.
Day 3: Wisdom & Achievement: Buddhi, Siddhi, Ekakshara, and Haridra Ganesha were honored for intelligence, focus, and favorable outcomes.
Day 4: Prosperity & Protection: Arka, Nidhi, Vallabha, and Swarnakarshana Ganesha were invoked for planetary protection, material well-being, and wealth attraction.
Four Ganesha Statues for a New Age
A distinctive feature of this year’s celebration was the commissioning, by Dr. Pillai, of two special Yuga Ganesha installations- Mahotkata Vinayaka, associated with the Satya (Krita) Yuga, and Dhumraketu Ganesha, associated with the Kali Yuga- installed at both the Shreem Brzee Shrine and AstroVed’s Homa Centre. Dr. Pillai’s stated intention behind the pairing was to invoke Ganesha’s power to help devotees move beyond present-day limitations and align with the higher consciousness traditionally associated with the Satya Yuga.
