The lineup is set for the 56th Fashion Week of Storm Fashion Company’s 9th Edition of ‘Chennai International Fashion Week’
Storm Fashion Company launched its premier fashion week here in Chennai in December 2009 and this month December 2019 celebrates 10 years in Fashion
CHENNAI: ‘Chennai International Fashion Week” (CIFW) is back with the 9th annual fashion edition. The two night series of this runway event will showcase seasons trends organized by Storm Fashion Company and is scheduled from December 21st to 22nd 2019 at The Residency Towers Chennai.
This Seasons’ designer lineup features four celebrated fashion designers from various parts of India.
Chennai’s very own and very respected Fashion Designer Jules Idi Amin is the host designer to the event.
Mr. Gaurav Sharma, CEO Storm Fashion Company said that show would present newer and exhilarating episodes of style statements for the coming seasons and a riot of every color. Stunning models will showcase the outstanding artistry of celebrated internationally renowned Kochi based designer Hari Anand at 8:30 pm on Saturday 21st December 2019 and of other designers at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Sunday 22nd December 2019. By the end of each night, be rest assured that you will summon up each design again to your mind and the collections created especially for you by the designers will create an everlasting imprint on your heart,’ he said.
CIFW season 9 kicks off on 21st December with well known Kochi based designer Hari Anand’s spring-summer 2020 collection for men and women aptly named “Organic Theories – the Physics of Chemistry”.
On December 22nd, 2019 we celebrate the CHENNAI DESIGNERS DAY with CIFW9 host designer Jules Idi Amin at 7.30 pm will showcase her collection “Baarish” predominantly consisting of lounge, resort, and Mehendi wear for a quirky bride which extends into resort and honeymoon destinations. This will be followed by Chennai based designer duo “Nazia Syed and Sneha Shekar’s label “Tassel Trail” at 8:30 pm showcasing a foray into the world of hip and funky fashion and accessories.
Chennai International Fashion Week season 9 will wrap up on December 22nd, 2019 with a spectacular collection showcased by Chaitanya Rao, Chennai’s most loved fashion designer at 9:30 pm where he will showcase his latest collection that project the softer feminine side. These will then transgress into the darker sexy side epitomizing the shades of womanhood. Floral fabrics, Indian wear, western formals complete the collection
The ‘by invitation only’ show will be attended by the representatives of the fashion industry – designers, textile brands and jewelers among others.
Chennai International Fashion Week 9 will also feature an eclectic mix of show stoppers from different walks of life – actors, sports personalities and other eminent personalities.
