Chennai’s favourite neighbourhood grub pub – Watson’s – will be hosting a plogging drive on 5th October 2019 from 4 pm onwards. Plogging begins at Watson’s Chennai and multiple areas of T.Nagar will be cleaned as a part of this initiative.
Watson’s recently announced its fifth anniversary and the Plogging Party was part of the celebrations. The aim is to get people to become more aware and conscious of keeping the city clean, and address the source of the problem – which is getting people to stop littering. The grub pub has been supporting plogging initiatives for over four years now. Its employees support the clean-up drives and provide treats for participants as well. Volunteers are provided with a cleaning kit that comprises of gloves, face masks, bags to collect the trash, and a hand sanitizer for hygiene.
