Chennai, 26th October 2026: Revivo Clinic, a Chennai-based centre specialising in obesity, diabetes and metabolic health, has launched its Type II Diabetes Remission Programme ahead of the World Diabetes Day observed on November 14. The initiative emphasises an evidence-based metabolic healthcare, prioritising clinical suitability and sustainable outcomes over a one-size-fits-all approach.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Soumiya Anbumani, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Dr. Arun Raghavan, Diabetologist, Metabolic Physician and Co-Founder of Revivo Clinic presented the programme and outlined its key features.

A key distinguishing feature of Revivo Clinic’s Remission Program is its structured clinical evaluation, through which, each individual’s eligibility and the likelihood of achieving remission is assessed first before enrolment. Patients who are not eligible for the program will be advised appropriate, evidence-based diabetes management.

The physician-led programme combines medical care, personalised nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle interventions, supported by regular monitoring of clinical outcomes.

At the launch of the programme, Dr. Soumiya Anbumani, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, said, “Congratulations to the entire team at Revivo Clinic on the launch of their flagship programme. At a time when India is already the Diabetic Capital of the world, Revivo Clinic is working to change how people approach the disease by emphasising early detection, sustained treatment and healthier lifestyle choices, including clean eating. Their efforts to help people manage and potentially reverse Type 2 diabetes through long-term lifestyle changes are commendable. I wish the entire team continued success in transforming lives and making a lasting difference.”

Speaking on the launch of the program, Dr. Arun Raghavan said, “Diabetes remission is scientifically feasible, but it requires consistent clinical oversight. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, our priority is to assess each individual’s suitability for the programme. Remission can represent a meaningful shift in how we manage this condition, but it must be guided by scientific evidence and clinical judgement. Our goal is to give eligible individuals a clear, physician-guided path to reclaim their metabolic resilience while prioritising their safety.

Adding to this, Arvind Ashok, Fitness and Nutrition Coach, Lifestyle Consultant, Revivo Clinic said, “Improving our lifestyle does not mean adopting a Western diet. We believe in going back to the basics by embracing clean eating and making healthier choices that can help people manage diabetes more effectively. While these practices are not new, our mission is to make them accessible and sustainable, helping individuals make meaningful lifestyle changes and lead healthier lives while living with diabetes.”

Through its structured eligibility assessment and evidence-based approach, Revivo Clinic aims to set a benchmark in metabolic health, fostering patient trust and combating misinformation around diabetes reversal.
