Chennai, March 23rd, 2025: Navin’s Starwood Towers, a premium housing society in Medavakkam is organizing the Starwood Premier League, to cater to the sports enthusiasts in the community. Organized by the Starwood Sports Club, an umbrella body of Navin’s Starwood Towers Resident Sports Community, the event will see the participation of more than 120 residents. Navin’s, the most trusted real estate developer in Chennai, is the title sponsor for the event.
On the Starwood Premier League, Ms. Ksheer Vasudha Kumar, Director, Navin’s said, “We are happy to be associated with the third edition of the unique league, modelled after the Indian Premier League, with franchise owners and players auction concept with points. Starwood Sports Club has been dedicated to building a vibrant sports community and with each edition, the sporting event is becoming bigger and better.”
The Starwood Premier League Season 3 will feature women’s throwball, men’s cricket and men’s volleyball tournaments. Following the auction for women’s throwball and men’s volleyball tournaments, the jerseys for all the three events were launched today.
There will be 18 cricket matches, 14 volleyball matches, and 14 throwball matches in the league. Four teams – Chestnut champions, Redwood Rhinos, RoyalOak Rangers and Walnut Warriors – will compete in the matches.
The tournaments of the Starwood Premier League are being organized by a core committee consisting of residents Rajesh, Nambi, Lava, Vimal and Chitra, with the aim to bring the residents together to promote physical fitness, teamwork and community spirit.
Starwood Sports Club was inaugurated by Dr R Kumar, Founder and Chairman of Navin’s in 2021.
