Perumal Murugan’s ‘Kodithuni’ Adapted into a Film, Angammal Receives Official Selection at Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI)

Chennai: Perumal Murugan’s short story ‘Kodithuni’ has been adapted into a film called Angammal and it has received an official selection under the Focus South Asia section at the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI).

The movie Angammal is directed by Vipin Radhakrishnan and produced under the banner of Njoy Films by actor-singer Firoz Rahim and cinematographer Anjoy Samuel.

It presents a fresh interpretation of Perumal Murugan’s acclaimed short story, ‘Kodithuni.’ Anjoy Samuel, one of the producers, has also handled the cinematography for the film.

Cast: Geetha Kailasam, Saran, Bharani, Thendral Raghunathan, Mullai Arasi, Baby Yasmin, among others.
