Kia India registers robust 12.7% growth in H1 2025

Company dispatches 142,139 units in H1’25 compared to 126,137 sold in H1’24

New Delhi, 1st July 2025: Kia India, one of the country’s leading mass-premium automakers, posted strong sales numbers in H1 2025 with 142,139 vehicles dispatches, marking 12.7% growth over 126,137 vehicles sold in the same period last year.

The recently launched Carens Clavis has been continuously receiving a tremendous response from the customers who seek uncompromised comfort and space coupled with features and best-in-class safety.

In the global markets, Kia’s ‘Made-in-India’ products maintained consistent traction, with 11,813 vehicles exported in H1 2025.

The company continued reporting a strong performance, reaffirming the strength of its product portfolio and market demand.

Commenting over the brand’s sustained performance, Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India said, “The first half of 2025 has been encouraging for Kia India. Marked by steady growth despite industry-wide operational challenges, the response to our recently launched products, like the Carens Clavis has been great. With our first Made-in-India EV launching this month, we are diversifying our product portfolio fortifying our long-term commitment to the evolving preferences of Indian customers. We are confident this launch will further increase our presence in the country’s fast-transforming mobility landscape. In April 2017, Kia India signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, India, to build a new manufacturing facility at Anantapur District. Kia commenced mass production in August 2019 and has an installed annual production capacity of 300,000 units.
