“Why did it look like there was a gap in my career?” – ‘Nova’ heroine Raiza Wilson shares a surprising revelation

Following the release of Partner, starring Aadhi and Hansika Motwani, Royal Fortuna Creations has produced a new film titled Nova: Phase One – The Arrival.
Director Milo, who has previously directed more than twenty commercials, is making his feature film debut with this project.
The film is described as a horror science-fiction supernatural fantasy thriller.
The lead role is played by Raiza Wilson, known for her performance in Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. The cast also includes Dhruva of Aanmai Thavarael, Adviti Shetty, Bengali actress Krithika Biswas, Malayalam actor Joe John Chacko, Sendrayan, and YouTube personalities Finally Swathika and Finally Krishna.
Post-production work is progressing rapidly, and the film is expected to hit theatres soon.
Speaking about her experience working on Nova, Raiza Wilson said:
“The film is structured like a story within a story. I play an important character that appears in the flashback portions.
The movie combines action, thriller, and science-fiction elements. I have never acted in a story or role like this before, which is exactly why I was drawn to it.
The shoot took place in the forests of Marayoor in Kerala. We even filmed inside sandalwood forests, where obtaining permission itself is difficult. There were many challenges—blood-sucking leeches, constant mist and rain, the intimidating sounds of wild animals, and muddy, slippery paths. Before going there, I thought the shoot would be quite easy. I had no idea it would be so demanding. I had never faced such difficulties on any previous film.
Despite all this, we completed the shoot on schedule without delays.
Director Milo always kept the atmosphere on set energetic and positive. Because of that, the hardships never felt overwhelming.
It is remarkable that he chose such a complex story for his very first feature film. It takes a lot of courage. He worked extremely hard and deserves appreciation for it.
Since it rained most of the time, I often had to sit on set in wet clothes. The action scenes I performed were filmed there. Stunt master Vimal Rambo gave me specialized training. I had also already undergone fight training for the film Mr. X, so performing the action scenes in Nova became easier.
The film Mr. X, in which I acted alongside Arya, is Released and gave me a good name.
After FIR, this is another film I acted in under the direction of Manu Anand. Following the success of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, I signed several films. Some of them even completed shooting. I acted with G. V. Prakash Kumar in Kaadhalikka Yaarumillai. About 95% of the shoot was completed, but I still do not know why the film, which started in 2019, has not yet been released. I do not understand why this has happened.
Because of that, it created the impression that there was a gap in my career. Similarly, another film titled Chase is also awaiting release.
At the same time, I strongly believe that Nova release, new opportunities will definitely come my way.”
Raiza Wilson expressed confidence that the upcoming release of Nova will mark a new phase in her career.
