New Delhi, July 2025: Kia India, a leading mass-premium automaker, has taken a major step towards advancing electric mobility in the country by developing a robust and integrated EV ecosystem for its customers. Built ahead of the upcoming launch of its first made-in-India EV, the Carens Clavis, this initiative is designed to make EV ownership seamless, worry-free, and practical for Kia buyers across India.
To address common concerns associated with EV ownership, Kia India has developed K-Charge platform, seamlessly integrated within the MyKia app, offering access to a fast-growing network of over 11,000 charging points across India in collaboration with 18 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs). This spans both urban and highway routes, supporting daily commutes and long-distance travel alike.
Complementing this, Kia’s ‘EV Route Planner’, accessible through Kia website and MyKia App, helps customers locate charging stations, view real-time slot availability, and make payments directly through the app, simplifying the charging experience and eliminating the need for multiple third-party apps.
Strengthening the ecosystem further is a dedicated network of over 250 EV-ready Kia workshops across India, equipped with specialized tools, equipment, and trained EV technicians. More than 100 Kia dealerships are already equipped with DC Fast Chargers, ranging from 60kW to 240kW, ensuring customers can charge quickly during routine visits.
Additionally, Kia offers advanced home charging solutions supporting 7.4kW and 11kW AC chargers, providing flexible and efficient at-home charging options that surpass most mass-market EV offerings in India.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, “Our focus has always been on delivering innovation that makes a real difference. With our comprehensive EV ecosystem now in place, we are empowering customers to experience electric mobility with ease and confidence. This strong foundation allows us to support the next wave of EV adoption across the country, making electric driving practical, reliable, and accessible for all. We are confident that this will not only enhance the ownership journey but also strengthen our leadership in the fast-changing mobility space”.
Kia India plans to enhance the K-Charge charging points access to 20K+ by mid-2026. By interlinking advanced vehicles, a comprehensive charging network, digital solutions, and customer-first service, the company is setting new benchmarks for electric mobility. Its EV ecosystem is more than just infrastructure; it is a complete experience designed to offer confidence, convenience, and sustainability for everyone.
Over the years, Kia has taken a centre stage globally with EV technology leadership. From the sleek EV6 —World Performance Car of the Year in 2023 — to the flagship EV9 and the breakthrough EV3 both named World Car of the Year, Kia EVs are leading the global EV movement.
