175 participants performed 151 yoga asanas in just 30 minutes, creating a remarkable Asian world record on 11TH International Yoga Day

A total of 175 participants performed 151 asanas within 30 minutes, earning a place in the Asian Book of Records.

International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21. In celebration of the 11th International Yoga Day, Narchinthanai Vattam, Sri Bala Yoga Studio, and the Indian Yoga Association – Tamil Nadu Chapter jointly organized 11 events at a single venue. One of the major highlights of the celebration was a world record feat in yoga asanas.

As part of this grand event, 175 participants performed 151 yoga asanas in just 30 minutes, creating a remarkable Asian world record. Their accomplishment was officially recognized by the Asian Book of Records.

The chief guest of the event was Honorable Mr. K. Ganapathi, Member of Legislative Assembly, Maduravoyal Constituency, who graced the occasion with his presence.

The world record announcement was made by Dr. P. Sivakumaran, Ambassador and Senior Adjudicator of the Asian Book of Records. The event was held at Sri Rajalakshmi Mahal, Lakshmi Nagar, Porur.

Dr. R. Elangovan, Secretary of Indian Yoga Association Tamil Nadu Chapter, and Yogi P. Krishnan Balaji participated as special invitees.

Dr. N. Kruthika, a Rotarian and Founder of Phoenix Chess Academy, was a direct witness to the record-setting yoga performance and appreciated the achievement.

Certificates and shields were presented to individuals who excelled in yoga. Additionally, various sports competitions were also conducted as part of the celebration, in which all the attendees participated enthusiastically.
