Chennai, 19th August 2019: Nippon Paint (India) Private Limited (Decorative Division) Asia’s leading paint manufacturer today announced the finalists of the “Thamizhagatthin Vanna Kural”, its premier contest for rising singers. Mr. Abhay of Trichy and Ms. Thangavelu Subahari of Madurai took home the titles, beating over 2000 plus contestants from across five cities in Tamil Nadu. They received a cash prize of rupees 50,000 each.
An eminent jury comprising some of the most popular names in the music industry like Big Boss fame NSK Ramya, Super Singer Ajesh Ashok, and singer Kavya Ajit, judged the performances and crowned the two winners, at the finale held at Forum Vijaya Mall today. They further enthralled the audience with a scintillating performance.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Mahesh S. Anand, President – Nippon Paint (India) Private Limited (Decorative Division), said “Nippon Paint has always believed in the power of music. Thamizhagatthin Vanna Kural is our initiative to bring to limelight, those talent who were not fortunate to have a platform to nurture their singing talent. The contest, which took over a period of a few months, invited Nippon Paint customers to audition and showcase their singing talent. A total of 16 shortlisted candidates from each of the five cities competed in the finals.
