JITO SPORTS 2020 ORGANISED BY JAIN INTERNATIONAL TRADING ORGANIZATION

Being in consonance with the concept of HUM FIT TOH INDIA FIT promoted nationwide, JITO or the Jain International Trading Organization initiated the JITO GAMES project across its Chapters few years ago. Now, it’s not unknown that even to this day, the importance given to sports, although picking up, is majorly lacking whereby sports is hardly pursued and encouraged as a potential career prospect and is majorly looked at as a mere additional to a person’s life. Understanding this scenario JITO through its JITO GAMES project is consistently and aggressively working towards promoting sports, fitness and health.

JITO is a pan world, unique and a multi-stakeholder community of visionary Jain who share a commitment to shaping the future. It’s the single largest organization of prominent Jain businessmen, industrialists and professionals worldwide with current members exceeding 12,000 in number spread across 70 chapters in India and 11 Chapters outside India. It envisions towards achieving ‘socio-economic empowerment’, ‘value based knowledge’ and ‘service with compassion’ of the Jain community and the country at large. Our members are highly accomplished and eclectic in their respective fields. In a span of ten years, JITO through its various projects has established many notable benchmarks in the vast landscape of professional and non-governmental organizations.

The JITO GAMES is a biennial sports event whose primary objective is to discover and nurture the latent talents of young Jain sportspersons so that they can become competent and participate at the National and International levels. The event is first held at the Chapter level, the winners of which thereafter become eligible to compete at the National level. This year, the National level JITO GAMES is due to be held in Namma Chennai in the month of May. The entire process, right from registration to selection to execution of the event is conducted in the utmost professional and transparent manner. In fact, to further strengthen its vision, a scholarship policy is currently effective to provide financial support to talented Jain sportspersons. Through this policy four sportspersons are currently making our country proud. A round of positive talks to open a world-class National Sports Academy is being held at the JITO Apex.
