Chennai, 8th November 2019: In a pioneering initiative, Sony BBC Earth is partnering with Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre to host a first of its kind Science Film Festival. The 12-day festival which starts on 11th November will showcase Sony BBC Earth’s diverse content strength to the young minds of various schools across Chennai.
Sony BBC Earth is India’s premium infotainment channel and is known for its informative yet entertaining content ranging from fun science, engineering, manufacturing, space, astronomy, nature, adventure and wildlife. This association brings together the synergies of the two powerhouses who aim to inspire the students, captivate their minds and ignite their curiosity to discover some amazing and unheard facts about science and environment.
The festival will host over 5000 children from various schools across Chennai who will get to witness spectacular and engaging science and nature-based series, namely – Made by Destruction, Super Smart Animals, Rituals, Bang Goes The Theory, Secrets Of Everything, Factomania, Shark Beneath The Surface and Forces Of Nature, at no cost. The students are sure to be wowed by the insightful, positive and visually spectacular stories that Sony BBC Earth has in store for them.
