9TH EDITION CHENNAI INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK – Storm Fashion Company celebrates 10 years in Fashion

The lineup was set for the 56th Fashion Week of Storm Fashion Company’s 9th Edition of ‘Chennai International Fashion Week’

Storm Fashion Company launched its premiere fashion week here in Chennai in December 2009 and this month December 2019 celebrates 10 years in Fashion

CHENNAI: ‘Chennai International Fashion Week’ (CIFW) is a fashion extravaganza, the city’s highly anticipated annual fashion event by bringing together designers of ethnic diversity and promote multicultural art in high fashion. The eighth annual edition of Chennai International Fashion Week is a glamorous annual event is produced by Mr. Gaurav Sharma, CEO Storm Fashion Company and happened on December 21st and 22nd , 2019 at Hotel The Residency Towers, Chennai.

This Seasons’ designer line-up features four celebrated fashion designers from various parts of India.
Chennai’s very own and very respected Fashion Designer Jules Idi Amin is the host designer to the event.

The show presented newer and exhilarating episodes of style statements for the coming seasons and a riot of every colour. Stunning models showcased the outstanding artistry of celebrated internationally renowned Kochi based designer Hari Anand on 21st December 2019.

CIFW Season 9 kicked off on 21st December with well-known Kochi based designer Hari Anand’s spring summer 2020 collection for men and women aptly named “Organic Theories – the Physics of Chemistry”.

On December 22nd, 2019 we celebrated the CHENNAI DESIGNERS DAY with CIFW9 host designer Jules Idi Amin, showcased her collection “Baarish” predominantly consisting of lounge, resort and mehendi wear for a quirky bride which extends in to resort and honeymoon destinations. This was followed by Chennai based designer duo “Nazia Syed and Sneha Shekar’s label “Tassel Trail” showcasing a foray into the world of hip and funky fashion and accessories.

Chennai International Fashion Week season 9 wraped up on December 22nd 2019 with a spectacular collection showcased by Chaitanya Rao, Chennai’s most loved fashion designer, where he showcased his latest collection that project the softer feminine side. It was then transgress into the darker sexy side epitomizing the shades of womanhood. Floral fabrics, Indian wear, western formals complete the collection

The ‘by invitation only’ show was attended by the representatives of fashion industry – designers, textile brands and jewellers among others.

Chennai International Fashion Week 9 featured an eclectic mix of show stoppers from different walks of life – actors, sports personalities and other eminent personalities like Meera Mithu
Eshani Diana, Raiza, Arjan Bajwa and Yashika Anand.
